See us on Face Book the Lodge at Pilgrim Cottage

The Lodge is some 4 miles inland from the small friendly town of Ballycastle, in a tranquil rural location, beside a National Forest and on a National Cycle Route.

We and our guests have been excited by regular visits by RED SQUIRRELS since August 2012. We have two feeding boxes in the garden and have been able to photograph them frequently. Other wildlife visitors include pheasants and birds attracted to the bird table.

The Lodge is a purpose-built, single-storey, self-contained, self-catering unit which is equipped to NITB Four Star standard. The Lodge is designed to sleep 2/4 people and is part of a newly-built residential property completed in late-2010. It is the ideal hideaway for those seeking to step aside from the hurly-burly of 21st century living - and find PEACE! - whilst being within easy reach of the scenic Causeway Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Coast offers stunning scenery, sailing, way-marked walks, golf courses, sandy beaches and surfing for the real enthusiast!

Accommodation at the Lodge includes a large double bedroom with king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom with double-ended bath with shower over. The compact living space consists of a fully-fitted designer kitchen-diner and living area. A sofa bed (double) allows extra sleeping space for adults/children. The kitchen is equipped with a double-oven electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Full central heating is provided plus electric fires. A 26" flat-screen TV, plus DVD player, are provided; the TV has 3 HDMI sockets plus computer and camera-card sockets.

Central heating and linen is included in the tariff. Parking is off road on private ground beside the Lodge. Bicycle storage is also available.

A free welcome pack is provided and extra shopping can be arranged, at cost.

The outlook is completely rural, with open fields to the rear and forest to the front. Garden furniture, BBQ and a summer-house are available for the use of guests; Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday, however we operate a flexible booking arrangement incorporating short breaks if possible. Our 2013/2014 seasonal tariff is as follows:

Weekend and mid-week breaks, dependent upon availability, £100 for 2 nights (3rd night free).
